Willow Tree Counseling LLC
Compassionate Therapy for Neurodivergent Adults and Adults Navigating Complex Trauma

About Willow Tree Counseling LLC
Welcome. Willow Tree Counseling, LLC is a creation of Aspen Kupper (they/he). As a late diagnosed AuDHD person, I understand the importance of affirming, tailored care for neurodivergent health.
I am passionate about working with adults navigating gender and sexual identity, complex trauma, neurodivergence, and disability. I also enjoy working with individuals struggling with their relationship to substances and have experience working with people on medication for opioid use disorder.
Your experiences are uniquely your own, influenced by cultural, systemic, and personal factors — I consider my role in the therapeutic relationship that of a witness and co-conspirator, not an expert. I love using special interests and media as a doorway to therapeutic exploration. My style is fairly casual, infusing humor and warmth with observations and curiosity.
Services

Individual Therapy
Available via Telehealth with limited in-person availability. I approach therapy from a relational cultural lens and utilize EMDR, parts work, and narrative therapy to support people as they navigate life challenges and trauma recovery. Regardless of diagnosis or experiences, I enjoy helping people find new skills, explore their identity and narratives, and build a life they find fulfilling.
Gender Affirming Care
Accessing gender affirming care can involve a lot of systemic barriers. I am here to help you navigate the process and write letters in support of gender affirming care when appropriate. You do not need to be a prior or ongoing client to receive access to readiness counseling for gender affirming care. For letters, I typically require at least 3 sessions to thoroughly engage in exploration and feel comfortable speaking to your readiness.
Group Therapy
The Neurodivergent Self-Discovery group is built for late-diagnosed (self-diagnosis counts) and/or high-masking neurodivergent adults. The group is a blend of skills-based and community-based therapy with the goal of promoting positive neurodivergent identity, understanding of strengths and support areas, and self-advocacy.
